» Reagan Rick was appointed president and CEO of Fifth Third Bank's central and north Florida affiliate in Orlando, reporting to Florida regional President Karen Dee. Rick previously led M&I Bank's Milwaukee region.

» The U.S. Senate confirmed Winter Park businessman Bob Mandell as U.S. ambassador to Luxembourg. Mandell, a longtime commercial real estate executive, served on the White House Export Council in 2010 and 2011.

» Van Canada, former Volusia-Flagler president for TD Bank, was named manager of the Small Business Development Center at Daytona State College.

» Ormond Beach resident Georgia Turner will head the Flagler County Tourist Development Council for the Flagler County Chamber of Commerce. Turner, a veteran marketer, succeeds Peggy Heiser as Flagler's tourism chief.
