› Naples-based Dragon Horse Agency expands with new LA office
Dragon Horse Agency, an award-winning business marketing agency launched in Naples in 2015 by co-founders Julie Koester and Patrick Blake Renda, has announced its expansion to the west coast. The rapid growth in the firm’s diversity of clientele and the range of creativity required to support them at the highest levels drove the decision to launch a new office in Los Angeles, California.

› Miami-Dade mayor proposes looser zoning to allow houses closer together, prevent sprawl
In a fight to prevent the suburbs from expanding closer to the Everglades, Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava released a plan this week to loosen zoning rules and make it easier to fit more houses onto smaller lots. Under current zoning rules, Miami-Dade planners say builders will run out of land available for new single-family homes by 2025.  

› Kroger delivery now available in South Florida
Cincinnati-based The Kroger Co. announced June 8 the addition of a new "spoke" facility in Miami, Fla., and that Kroger Delivery is now available in South Florida. The grocery retailer said the 60,000-square-foot facility will employ up to 200 associates and will collaborate with the fulfillment hub in Groveland, Fla., and serve as a last-mile cross-dock location allowing the fulfillment network to reach customers in South Florida.

› Sarasota IT firm expands through new majority investment
Gulfcoast IT LLC in Venice has found itself with a new majority investment all thanks to its client-first mentality, which drew in interest from a Sarasota-based IT firm looking to grow. Financial terms of the investment weren't disclosed. Four Winds Technology Group, a firm that provides technical and strategic solutions to middle market companies, announced the investment as being in line with its strategy of acquiring technology companies.
