› Michigan-based law firm expands to Naples area
A Michigan-based law firm recently opened an office in Naples. The new Varnum office, led by real estate partner Tom Forster, is located in the Fifth Third Center off Vanderbilt Beach Road. The press release states that the Naples area was favorable for a new office due to a strong existing client base and business climate.

› Bradley Talbert to lead JAX Chamber in 2023
The JAX Chamber board of directors chose Memorial Hospital CEO Bradley Talbert as its 2023 chamber chair. “Brad is a trusted, respected leader who jumped in to get involved in our community as soon as he moved here,” JAX Chamber President and CEO Daniel Davis said in an Oct. 22 news release. “Brad understands that a strong, unified business community is critical to a thriving economy and he will be an excellent leader for our Chamber members.”

› How diverse entrepreneurs are finding success in South Florida
In South Florida, many Black and Hispanic entrepreneurs are bootstrapping themselves to success – even when it seems against the odds. That's the case for Andrew Gonzalez, founder of Miami-based Night Owl Cookies. The lifetime cookie lover launched the late-night delivery service from his mother's kitchen in 2012. He was 20 years old and had no funding, business partners or advertising backing him.

› Tampa International Airport breaks ground on $25 million hangar, office
A Fort Lauderdale aviation company broke ground Thursday on a new $25 million hangar and office complex at Tampa International Airport, a sign of the increased demand for private jet travel in Florida. Fort Lauderdale’s Sheltair Aviation plans to open four enclosed hangars up to 33,269 square feet in size, each with their own office spaces sized up to 14,247 square feet. In all, the project will add around 110,000 square feet of space to the company’s existing Tampa operations when it opens in 2022.
