› Lab firm CEO retires, to be replaced by former AstraZeneca exec
Douglas VanOort, longtime CEO of oncology testing and global contract research services firm NeoGenomics, has announced his retirement from the CEO role, transitioning to executive chairman. Mark Mallon, a former executive vice president of AstraZeneca and most recently the CEO of Cambridge, Mass.-based Ironwood Pharmaceuticals, was named CEO.

› Jacksonville Beach investment group buys Adventure Landing property
A Jacksonville Beach investment group bought the Adventure Landing property in Jacksonville Beach on Feb. 24 for $7.87 million. Property owner National Retail Properties LP of Orlando sold the almost 22.2-acre site at 1944 Beach Blvd. to JB Fair Park MF LLC. The LLC shares an address with Trevato Development Group of Jacksonville Beach.

› Windstar cruises is ditching Seattle, will call Miami home in 2022
Cruise company Windstar is moving its offices to Miami in 2022. The small ship cruise company announced Friday it is leaving its longtime home base of Seattle. Cruise operations will be based in Miami starting in June 2022, and marketing, revenue, accounting and tech functions will move to Denver, where Windstar’s parent company, Xanterra Travel Collection, is based.

› Peppa Pig theme park set for Legoland Florida Resort in 2022
A standalone Peppa Pig theme park is set to open next year at the Legoland Florida Resort, park officials announced Thursday. The new park, based on the popular preschool animated television series, will be located near the main Legoland theme park, but will be separately ticketed, according to a news release.
