› Walmart opens supply chain training academy in Winter Haven
On Wednesday, the Walmart Distribution Center in Winter Haven celebrated the grand opening and first graduating class of the new Walmart Supply Chain Training Academy, created specifically to help distribution center associates build the skills they need to become the next generation of supply chain leaders.

› Site in growing North Jacksonville picked for new VA clinic
The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs announced that it's new clinic planned for Jacksonville will be on the northwest corner of Max Leggett Parkway and Hyatt Road. The 164,000-square-foot outpatient clinic will be built less than a mile from UF Health North, the 92-bed hospital UF Health opened in 2017 to meet demand for care in the fast-growing neighborhoods east of Interstate 95 and Jacksonville International Airport.

› Mote updates hotline for distressed or injured animals
Mote Marine Laboratory and Aquarium is changing numbers for its 24/7 hotline for reporting distressed, injured or deceased marine mammals in the Sarasota-Manatee area. The old number will remain in effect until Dec. 31, but starting immediately people can call Mote at 888-345-2335 for help with sea turtles, manatees, dolphins or whales.

› Rick Case’s Boca Raton Concours d’Elegance canceled for 2021
The annual Boca Raton Concours d’Elegance, a three-day car show and charity gala founded and directed by the late Rick Case and his wife, Rita, to support the Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County, has been canceled for 2021. "The event will resume in 2022,'' a spokeswoman said in a brief statement on Wednesday. “We appreciate your understanding and will update you when a release is distributed this week.”
