› Floridians can celebrate a ‘tax holiday’ on most hurricane-prep supplies starting Friday
Starting Friday, shoppers in Florida can avoid paying sales taxes while putting together disaster-preparation stockpiles for the 2020 hurricane season. In addition to helping residents buy everything from coolers to generators, Florida Retail Federation President and CEO Scott Shalley said he hopes the seven-day tax “holiday” can provide a boost for businesses suffering from the economic fallout of the coronavirus pandemic.

› DeSantis says Florida open to hosting Republican and Democratic National conventions
Gov. DeSantis says Florida is open to hosting the Republican National Convention. "That would be a huge economic impact for the state of Florida," DeSantis said Tuesday at a news conference in Miami. DeSantis said he'd also be open to hosting the DNC convention as well.

› 3M settles two lawsuits in Florida
3M Company has settled two lawsuits connected with the company’s global efforts to combat fraud, price gouging and counterfeiting. 3M Company and King Law Center, Chartered have resolved the legal action 3M initiated in federal district court in Orlando, Florida. The Litigation has been amicably resolved through a mutually beneficial agreement, and the lawsuit has been dismissed with prejudice.

› KFC tests new chicken sandwich in Orlando: ‘Ours wasn’t the one to beat’
KFC is testing at 15 Central Florida restaurants a chicken sandwich that it says is 20% larger than what’s typically on its menu. The Orlando-area test run, going through June 21, follows the success of Popeyes’ new chicken sandwich, which gained social media buzz and sellouts last year.
