› Santa Rosa Co. launches business assistance site
The Santa Rosa County Economic Development Office (SRCEDO) unveiled SantaRosaReady.com, a site that will provide businesses of all sizes access to information and resources to help minimize and offset losses suffered as a result of the COVID-19, which has disrupted commerce worldwide.
› Disney World, under Orange stay-at-home order, can’t reopen until April 9 at earliest
The earliest Disney World will be allowed to reopen is 11 p.m. on April 9 under an Orange County stay-at-home order meant to stop the spread of the coronavirus pandemic. Orange County government confirmed Thursday Disney is included in the order that adds amusement rides and water parks to a list of non-essential businesses that must temporarily stop running for the next two weeks.
› Paper products manufacturer sells Miami-Dade warehouse for $15M
Mac Papers, which manufactures a host of paper products, sold its distribution warehouse in Hialeah for $14.68 million. The Jacksonville-based company sold the 137,872-square-foot warehouse at 5900 N.W. 176th St. to Spirit Master Funding X LLC, an affiliate of Dallas-based Spirit Realty. The price equated to $106 per square foot.
› Southwest Florida gym working to do right by employees and clients during pandemic
The owner of Elite Training & Fitness said during this crisis, she's trying to do right by her employees and clients, while keeping everyone active. She said she wanted to keep her members active while stuck at home, so she suspended memberships, transitioned to free classes online.
