With more rehabilitation facilities, urgent cares, walk-in medical clinics and outpatient facilities, it is easier than ever to get medical treatment outside of a hospital or doctor’s office. But will there be enough nurses to provide proper care? Amid a potential nursing shortage that threatens Florida’s healthcare system, the state’s universities and colleges are devising creative solutions to graduate more nurses. JTA riders don’t embrace fare increases

Florida gas prices keep falling

Gas prices in Southwest Florida are poised to drop again this week after crude and wholesale gasoline plunged. Pump prices here and statewide have declined for 30 straight days, AAA said. From oxygenating moss covering the walls and kombucha on tap to lighting that mimics the natural progression of the sun and customizable aromas in meeting rooms, The Ring is out to set an entirely new standard, says founder Daniels Ikajevs, a commercial property investor who owns several buildings in Clearwater.
