› 'Florida Man' TV show coming to Oxygen network
It was only a matter of time before a television network scooped up a show about Florida Man. The Hollywood Reporter first reported on Florida Man the TV show alongside news of Oxygen's other upcoming series. The outlet said Florida Man is from Blumhouse TV and Man vs. Robot. Oxygen, under the NBC-Universal umbrella, is developing a true crime series features some of the Sunshine State's "most outrageous, notorious and craftiest killers."

› Second-ever leatherback nests found in Sarasota
For only the second time in Sarasota County history, a leatherback sea turtle nest has been found. Two nests, in fact, were located by turtle patrollers — one in Venice and one in Sarasota, according to a Mote Marine Laboratory biologist, who said the exact locations are being kept secret to protect the nests from harm. They have been staked off and caged to ward off predators.

› Divided County Commission approves tax break for West Melbourne high-tech firm BK Technologies
West Melbourne-based BK Technologies Inc. has been approved for state and county financial incentives that could total more than $272,000, as part of the company's expansion plan. The Brevard County Commission on Tuesday night voted 3-2 to approve an estimated $97,312 in property tax breaks for the company, spread over eight years — or $12,164 a year.

Lisa McCrary-Tokes and her husband, Toby Tokes, moved to Florida from Ohio in 2013 to start an impact window business, and they knew they were up against a hurricane of competition. For McCrary-Tokes, the new business, Armorvue Window & Door in Boca Raton, was a change of career.
