Will 2020 bring another long ballot of constitutional amendments?

A lengthy ballot filled with statewide constitutional amendments made for a tedious voting experience in 2018. The question now is, what of 2020? No surprise: There may once again be a veritable menu of issues for voters to consider. Amendments to the Florida Constitution must be approved by voters but can be placed on the ballot by petition (the ‘citizen initiative’) or by lawmakers. More from Florida Politics.

Aetna closing Plantation drug delivery office, laying off 106 workers

Health insurance giant Aetna, newly merged with CVS Health, is closing its mail-order prescription delivery operation in Plantation and eliminating 106 South Florida jobs, the company announced. More from the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.

The city and groups spearheading the massive bayfront redevelopment project plan to take several more weeks to iron out the specifics of an agreement that will govern each party’s role in financing, building and operating the more than $300 million development.
