Census fight could have political ramifications for Florida

With the U.S. Supreme Court moving quickly to hear the case, a legal battle about a proposed citizenship question on the 2020 U.S. census could have political ramifications for Florida. The once-a-decade reapportionment process relies heavily on census data. Nationally, the data is used to determine how many congressional seats each state will have. Self-driving trucks already rolling on Florida highways

You may be sharing the highway with a self-driving tractor-trailer and never even know it. That's becoming more and more of a reality in Florida. Recently, FOX 13 was invited to tag along with Starsky Robotics as they tested one of the autonomous trucks on the highway. More from FOX 13.

Royal Caribbean orders sixth Oasis-class ship

Royal Caribbean is planning on growing its fleet of the world’s largest cruise ships to Brady Bunch size levels. The company announced Monday it has entered into an agreement with Chantiers de l'Atlantique to build a sixth Oasis-class vessel that would debut in fall 2023. AAA: Florida gas prices predicted to rise this week

Oil and wholesale gasoline prices surged to their highest levels since November, raising the average price of gas anywhere from 10-20 cents higher. On Monday AAA reports Florida gas prices average around $2.23 per gallon but the Panhandle is still plagued with costs much higher as price gouging continues to be a concern following Hurricane Michael. Hurricane Michael recovery funding money not in federal spending bill

Not only did the compromise funding bill – the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2019, adopted to avoid another government shut-down – only include $1.375 billion for Trump’s $5.7 border wall budget request, it includes no money for assistance to Panhandle communities and farmers devastated by Hurricane Michael in October 2018.
