Barbara Lagoa tapped as next Florida Supreme Court justice by DeSantis
Gov. Ron DeSantis has nominated Cuban-American Judge Barbara Lagoa to the Florida Supreme Court. Lagoa was born in Miami, raised in Hialeah and graduated from Florida International University. Florida again leads nation in ACA signups; numbers higher than last year

An old building inspired a futuristic jobs and startup incubator
In a way, an old, empty building inspired local community leaders to turn it into the centerpiece of an ambitious, $8 million incubator of the future. The old building was the former library built in the 1970s at the State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota’s Bradenton campus, emptied when the school opened its state-of-the-art new library last February.
