Filing deadlines extended for disaster unemployment aid, small business emergency loans

The Florida Department of Economic Opportunity has extended the application deadlines for both Disaster Unemployment Assistance and the Small Business Emergency Bridge Loan Program to Monday, Dec. 31, 2018. Florida residents whose employment or self-employment was lost or interrupted as a direct result of Hurricane Michael can apply for DUA. More from WTXL.

Decline of Florida gas prices begins to stall as oil prices increase

The plunge of gas prices is slowing down. AAA - The Auto Club Group is reporting that prices have dropped just about 2 cents a day for the past seven weeks. However, oil prices are beginning to increase after a production cut agreement. This should slow down the trend of declining prices. More from WOFL and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune.

Ordering at BurgerFi can be as easy as showing your face

 A new BurgerFi restaurant in Kissimmee is using facial recognition technology to help customers place orders. The self-order kiosks have an optional feature to store facial geometry data and use it to store past orders. The kiosks will scan a face, and then pull up order history. The kiosks also store past orders using phone numbers or credit cards.
