Orlando’s Walt Disney World is no longer the top themed attraction when it comes to social media reviews in Florida – the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex has taken over. With an aggregate rating of 4.7 out of 5 across several social media platforms, the visitor complex not only surpassed the Orlando Science Center and SeaWorld, but also Universal, Legoland and Walt Disney World. Rick Scott will recuse himself from certifying the results of his own election

Gov. Rick Scott will not participate in the Elections Canvassing Commission on Tuesday, relieving him from the chance that he could certify — or not — the results of his U.S. Senate race. Scott had been silent about his participation on the canvassing commission, a relatively obscure board that signs off on the results of each federal, state and multi-county election. Southwest Florida's first new bank in decade opens

Florida's herpes-infected monkey population grows -- and that's bad news for people

 The monkeys in Silver Springs State Park are ... well, monkeying around, and that could pose a serious health risk to people. A study by Texas A&M University-Kingsville ecologist and assistant professor of research Jane Anderson finds the rhesus macaque monkey population is growing rapidly and could double by 2022.
