For just the third time this year, Florida showed mercy Tuesday to people who made serious mistakes and lost the right to vote.
It was the last time that Gov. Rick Scott and the three Cabinet members held clemency hearings for convicted felons before November, when voters will decide whether to amend the Constitution to restore the right to vote to most felons after they have finished their sentences.
The proposal is known as Amendment 4 on the Nov. 6 ballot.
