› Venice businesses cope with red tide and road work
Reconstruction of the major roads in downtown Venice is on schedule and area businesses are doing the best they can to weather the double whammy of road closures and red tide. The $8.3 million project started July 9 and involves the reconstruction of the core downtown streets of Miami, Venice and Tampa avenues.
