States struggle to close degree-attainment gaps
Across the country very little progress has been made in closing degree-attainment gaps among white, black and Latino adults, hindering goals to increase the overall number of adults with degrees. The two states that improved the most in closing the Latino-white gap were also states with large Latino populations, Florida and New York. Florida universities should charge ‘Chapel Hill’ prices for out-of-state students, Putnam says
Republican governor candidate Adam Putnam said Tuesday that the state is "selling Florida universities cheap to out-of-state students" and suggested tuition should be higher for non-residents. UWF to offer Florida's first online MLT to MLS program
Medical laboratory technicians with an associate degree can apply for a new online program at the University of West Florida (UWF) to earn a bachelor's degree in clinical sciences.
