Look for bigger crowds during Thanksgiving travel this year

A stronger economy and lower gas prices mean Thanksgiving travelers can expect more congested highways this year. During the long holiday weekend, 46.9 million Americans are expected to go 50 miles or more from home, the highest number since 2007. More at the AP and the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.

Florida citrus tax break to expand acreage

A new bill, titled the Emergency Citrus Disease Response Act (HR 3957), was recently introduced by U.S. Rep. Vern Buchanan, R-Sarasota, to expand the ability of growers immediately to write off the cost of planting new citrus groves. More from Fresh Plaza and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune.

Florida legislative lobbying hits $30M in Q3
