Florida bolsters pursuit of medical tourism
Visit Florida announced the start of a new $2.5 million grant program aimed at helping Florida businesses promote the state as a medical tourism destination. Spirit reports 17.4 percent traffic increase
In October Spirit Airlines had a 17.4 percent increase in traffic (revenue passenger miles) compared to the same month in 2013, the Miramar-based carrier announced. Meanwhile, last month's capacity, or available seat miles, increased 18.8 percent. More at the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.
