Grayton Beer Co.

Beer drinkers in South Walton County are enjoying locally brewed craft beer with names like 30A Beach Blonde Ale and White Dunes, a citrusfavored beer with a hint of cilantro. Grayton Beer Co. Installed nine stainless steel fermentation tanks, which can hold as many as 22,000 pints of beer each. The company can brew the equivalent of 150,000 bottles of beer at a time.

"Our dream was always to be brewing beers here in South Walton, and the styles we have chosen have been carefully selected and infuenced by what local bar staff, owners and drinkers are telling us," says Martin Liptrot, head of marketing and sales for Grayton Beer. The brewery's amber ale was named 1890 Founder's Ale after the frst settlers in Grayton Beach more than a century ago. "People kept saying they wanted beers that tasted great and worked well down here on the beach — local favor, local beer. It's kind of become our slogan," says Liptrot.
