Four Seasons Hotel Miami
More Leisurely Pace
7th Heaven: A seventh-floor terrace has three pools and a restaurant. The hotel is in a 70-story building with the city's largest health club and spa, The Sports Club/LA, as well as offices and condominiums. |
The Four Seasons chain of 70 luxury hotels in 31 countries traditionally caters to business travelers in urban areas. But the Miami property is built more like a resort, says Greg Mendoza, the hotel's manager.
A two-acre terrace on the seventh floor contains three pools, lush landscaping, cabanas, a pool bar and a restaurant, all designed to remind travelers they're in south Florida.
"It's becoming a sevenday hotel," Mendoza says. Business travelers are arriving early or staying extra days to enjoy the weekends as mini-vacations.
The performing arts center is about a five-minute cab ride away.
The Four Seasons already has taken reservations for people traveling to town for the shows and will offer cultural packages that include room nights and premier show tickets.
Standard rates at the 221-room hotel start at $375 in season and $325 during the summer.
