In a nod to energy conservation and resource preservation, the University of Miami has signed the Talloires Declaration of the Association of University Leaders for a Sustainable Future, a 10-point action plan committing institutions to sustainability and environmental literacy in teaching and practice. The school also has signed the American College & University Presidents Climate Commitment, which provides a framework for American colleges and universities to become "climate neutral."
