This is the only statewide competition of its kind in Florida to recognize companies and organizations that stand out for being great workplaces. Several prominent statewide organizations — the Florida Chamber of Commerce, Florida Association of Chamber Professionals, Florida Economic Development Council, Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association, Florida Society of Association Executives and the Orlando Regional Chamber of Commerce — have endorsed the program because it offers so many benefits to participating companies.
Submitting an entry is free and is open to firms that do business in the state and have at least 15 employees here, even if your company is not headquartered in Florida.
CEOs, business owners, human resources executives or other authorized company representatives can get the process started by registering their organization at BestCompaniesFL.com.
Once your company is registered, your employees will be surveyed by Best Companies Group, an independent research firm, to determine the winners in small, medium and large business categories.
Best Companies Group conducts a thorough company assessment — a two-part process designed to gather detailed data about each participating company. In part one, the employer completes a questionnaire, and in part two, employees of the company complete a survey.
The information from the two surveys will be combined to produce a detailed set of data enabling the analysts to determine the strengths and opportunities of the participating companies. Workplaces are ranked based on this data, and then complimentary “participation reports” are returned to each company.
The winners will be announced in a special section in our August issue and on FloridaTrend.com. Five thousand reprints of the special section will be distributed statewide by program sponsors, winners, advertisers, strategic partners and by Florida Trend.
“Best Companies To Work For In Florida” offers many advantages to participating organizations. First, you’ll gain valuable feedback on your employee satisfaction level at no cost. You’ll build pride among your employees, management and stakeholders. And recognition as a “Best Company To Work For” can help you gain a competitive edge in employee recruitment and retention. It’s also a great way to boost your firm’s marketing and branding efforts with increased, positive exposure.
Don’t miss this new opportunity to find out where you stand with your employees — and the chance to reap the rewards of being recognized as one of Florida’s best workplaces.
Registrations will be accepted until Feb. 3, so go to BestCompaniesFL.com today and get started.
