Home prices are still inching downward, but there are signs the market is improving. More homes sold in 2011 than the year before, and there are more pending home sales this year than last. “Things are moving,” says Realtor Debbie Kirkland. “I had a busier year last year than the last three combined.” Though there are more foreclosures and short sales than ever before, Kirkland says banks are working to get these properties sold faster.
