» Geoffrey D.K. Stiles has been named president and CEO of Stonewood Holdings, the Ormond Beach-based owners of Stonewood Grill & Tavern and Peach Valley Cafe. Stiles had served as COO for the restaurant holding company and previously was president and COO of Ruth’s Chris Steak House, based in Orlando.

Stonewood Holdings operates 16 Stonewood Grill & Taverns in Florida, one in Cary, N.C., and four Peach Valley Cafes in Florida.

» David Pace, president of New Broad Street Cos., was elected chairman of the Metro Orlando Economic Development Commission for 2010-11. Meg Crofton, president of Walt Disney World Resort, is immediate past chair. Alex Martins, president of the Orlando Magic, was elected vice chair, and Lars Houmann, president and CEO of Florida Hospital, was elected secretary-treasurer.

» The Central Florida Regional Transportation Authority, which operates the Lynx bus service, has appointed John M. Lewis Jr. CEO. Lewis, who headed the Greater Richmond Transit Commission, was selected from among 36 applicants to fill the post vacated by Linda Watson last summer when she took a similar position in Austin, Texas.
