2018 Best Jobs: Florida doesn’t have many

Florida may have an enviable unemployment rate these days. But when it comes to high-paying jobs, the Sunshine State’s economy inspires less jealousy. In the U.S. News & World Report’s rankings for "Best Jobs of 2018" released Wednesday, Florida’s metropolitan areas failed to crack the top 50 hubs for jobs that offer good salaries, future opportunities and work-life balance. Naples, Fort Myers areas rank high on national 'best-performing' list

A non-profit think tank has released their ranking of the "best-performing cities" for 2017, and some Southwest Florida cities received high marks. The Milken Institute ranks 200 metropolitan areas using metrics based on job creation, wage gains, and technology developments. More from FOX 4.

Boca Raton company gets noncompliance letter from Nasdaq

Boca Raton-based Ominto Inc. received a letter from the Nasdaq stock exchange saying that the company is not in compliance with listing requirements. To regain compliance, the company said it has to submit a plan to Nasdaq by March 5. More from the South Florida Business Journal.

Aldi grocery chain seeks 400 new workers in Florida hiring spree

Aldi, the German-based discount grocery chain, plans to launch a statewide hiring spree Thursday in a bid to sign up 400 new employees. Aldi is seeking associates, shift managers and manager trainees who would eventually oversee a store’s operations. More from the South Florida Sun-Sentinel and WFTS.

Mortgage delinquencies are down across the U.S. — but up in South Florida.

South Florida’s uptick in early-stage mortgage delinquencies, defined as 30-59 days past due, belies the national trend. According to CoreLogic’s report, the U.S. rate for early-stage mortgage delinquencies was 2.3 percent in October 2017, up 0.01 percent from October 2016. More from the Miami Herald.
