Six years ago, Holly Smith and Hazel Wiggington were working as consultants in the Pensacola office of a global consulting firm, Smith specializing in strategic management and planning, and Wiggington in financial management. In 2006, they decided to launch their own business consulting firm. In 2010, H2 Performance Consulting was ranked No. 139 on Inc.'s list of the country's 500 fastest-growing companies, with three-year growth of 1,913% — and it's the only northwest Florida firm listed. H2 employs 17 and is hiring. While clients are 95% military and government, it is looking to expand in the commercial area. Among the company's areas of expertise: Project and contract management support, leadership and technology training.
