Florida unemployment falls to 6.1 percent in June
Florida's unemployment rate dropped from 6.3 percent to 6.1 percent in September, reaching the lowest point since June 2008. In a news release, Gov. Rick Scott said Florida created 12,800 private-sector jobs last month. The release did not incorporate the change in government jobs over time. More at the Tampa Bay Times.
Fort Lauderdale-area businesses forecast rising wages, growth
