Women starting small businesses at fast pace

If you go to work for a newer business, there's a good chance you'll be working for a woman. Between 1997 and 2014, the number of women-owned businesses in the U.S. rose by 68 percent, twice the growth rate for men and nearly one and a-half times the rate for all companies. More at the AP.


Trial over new political maps gets underway

A trial over whether state legislators broke the law when drawing up new political maps is underway. A coalition of groups contends that the Florida Legislature in 2012 drew up new maps for congressional seats that violate standards adopted by voters. More at the AP.
