Get Ready to Work

This employee credentialing program tests and scores job skills and work habits. It can give you a competitive edge: a credential that proves to employers that you have the right skills and the right attitude for the job.

Here's how:

• Sign up at an Assessment Center, high school, Regional Workforce Board career center (see map on page 40), state or community college, technical center or other program partner.

• Take the online placement tests in three skill areas: Applied Mathematics, Reading for Information and Locating Information. These tests measure the "workplace" math, reading and problem-solving skills required for more than 85% of all jobs today.

•If the placement tests show that you need improvement in any of the skill areas, the program provides free online courseware that you can access from any computer anywhere, anytime.

•When you're prepared, take the proctored tests at a participating Assessment Center.

If you score at least a "3" on each of the three required tests, you'll receive the Ready-to-Work credential signed by Florida Gov. Rick Scott. You can show the credential to potential employers as proof that you have the skills to get the job done.
