Florida's aquaculture industry is growing, a new report states, thanks in part to an increase in alligator and tilapia sales. Florida reported $68.6 million in aquaculture sales last year, according to a survey from the Florida Agricultural Statistics Service and the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. Jaguars owner Shad Khan pursuing London's Fulham Soccer Club
Jaguars owner Shad Khan is in negotiations to buy the Fulham soccer team, which competes in the English Premier League. Florida recycling rate up -- but is it by 5 or 18%?
Florida's recycling rate is up as the state makes strides to reach a 75% recycling goal by 2020 but the amount of the increase is up for debate. Is it 5% or 18%? New data released by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) puts the state's official recycling rate at 48% for 2012 compared to 30% in 2011. More at Waste and Recycling News.
Bradenton courting HuB expansion
Bradenton officials are courting leaders of The HuB in a bid to convince the Sarasota-based collaborative workplace incubator to expand northward. Burn Notice is out, and Miami Commission Chairman Marc Sarnoff is ready to take down its former home and turn the waterfront site into a park for Coconut Grove residents.
