Didrick Medical X-Finger

Naples-based Didrick Medical is getting attention for its X-Finger device, basically an artificial finger for partial-finger amputees. The device mimics the motion of a real finger without using an external power source. Apart from winning an international inventor contest in 2009, the X-Finger is now one of the Final Four inventions still  in the running to win the 2013 Cade Museum Prize, a competition for inventors that awards a top prize of $50,000. The Cade Museum Prize will be selected May 9.
