Florida may use $60 million to lure soccer teams
Florida lawmakers are considering whether to pay $2 million a year in order to lure Major League Soccer to the state. A state Senate panel on Tuesday approved a measure (SB 358) that would guarantee $2 million a year for the next 30 years to help pay for a soccer stadium. Miami Subs expanding to the Middle East
The New Miami Subs Grill is making its way to the Middle East. The Fort Lauderdale-based company plans to open 56 new locations in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and United Arab Emirates, the company said in a statement. Broward schools overpaid security firm by $129,000
The Broward school district overpaid a security firm by $129,000, according an internal audit that found the district grossly mismanaged the contract, paid unnecessary overtime and late fees, and even paid guards after the contract expired.
