Florida’s online job openings in January increased 12 percent from the same period a year ago, according to the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity. There were 255,749 online job openings in January, 27,979 more than the 227,770 jobs posted online in January 2011. More at the Orlando Business Journal.

Strawberry growers in Plant City are having another season of ups and downs. Warmer than average temperatures and competition from Mexico brought on a rush of berries this winter.
