"He calls me up and says, ‘I want a colt.’"

-- Carlos Morales

Morales bought a Lion Heart weanling for $16,000. On Tuesday, that same horse, now a 3-year-old named Falling Sky, sold for $425,000 during the first day of the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Winter Sale.

“It’s the first horse I ever owned in the United States,” said Armas, who is a longtime horseman in Venezuela.
