"This is a lot better than learning regular math."

When students meet stoves, it adds up to math success.

And that's what happened at Nova Middle School Thursday, when every seventh-grader was given a recipe for baking bread.

"A recipe is really just math: this much plus this much equals bread," said Paula Gray, manager of King Arthur Flour's life skills bread baking program.
