Florida schools rank high, but not for academics
In Florida, you can find colleges with plenty of parties, sports, diversity and even tree huggers, according to the new Princeton Review survey. But what seems to be missing from the 2013 Princeton Review list of best colleges is academics. No schools made the list in categories such as "best classroom experience," "professors getting high marks" or "students studying the most." More at the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.

Florida gourmet food company reports record quarterly revenue
A Collier County gourmet food company enjoyed some sweet success in the second quarter. Innovative Food Holdings Inc. reported record revenues of $4.35 million for the quarter that ended June 30 — an increase of 57 percent from the same quarter in 2011. Innovative Food Holdings is a marketer and purveyor of more than 5,800 gourmet food products throughout the U.S. More at Naples News.
Longwood hopes SunRail will spark revival of historic downtown

New website serves drinks and more to bartenders
Pourzz.com wants to be Facebook for bartenders — the place they go to swap drink recipes, hear who in South Florida is hiring or learn about the latest spirits. For now the site is just targeted at the industry in South Florida, which they estimate at 25,000 bartenders from the Keys to Palm Beach County. More at the Miami Herald.
