Victoria Alexander landed her job at Herbie Wiles Insurance the time-honored way: She walked in the front door with a resume and a referral from a mutual acquaintance.

Alexander, 36, works in employee benefits for the St. Augustine insurance agency, representing it in life, health and annuity products and services. After eight years with another insurance firm, a client suggested she look into joining Wiles. Within two weeks of dropping off her resume, she had the job. She says she found a shared passion for customer service and the community.

“When I interviewed, it was definitely a very family-oriented feeling,” Alexander says.

The company pays 100% of employee health care premiums and more than 75% of dependent premiums.
