Boca Raton-based North American Biologicals (NABI) and Rockville, Md.-based Univax Biologics, both biopharmaceutical companies, have merged. Holders of Univax's common stock got a .79 share of NABI common stock in exchange for each Univax share. The merged company, called North American Biologicals, will be headquartered in Boca Raton and estimates combined 1995 revenues of about $200 million.

Florida RF Labs is building a new 28,000-square-foot international headquarters in Martin County, consolidating four facilities in the new location. Construction is scheduled to be completed by April, and by July, the company hopes to add an additional 25 employees to its current staff of 75.

Under an agreement between TPI Enterprises of West Palm Beach and Shoney's Inc. of Nashville, Shoney's would buy almost all of TPI's assets, with TPI shareholders getting a .315 share of stock for each of their TPI shares plus about $7.5 million in cash for the shareholder group.

About 4,000 trees in Dade County that were infected by the Asian strain of citrus canker are being destroyed. Florida Agriculture Commissioner Bob Crawford expects that number will double as a survey of the infested areas continues. A 100-square-mile quarantine has been put in place around the infected area in hopes of keeping the disease from spreading. Twice in the last 100 years, canker has nearly destroyed Florida's citrus trees.

A Massachusetts video company, Echo Bridge Productions, opened a new operations center in Dade County. The company is a full-service video production and multimedia company that specializes in the production of educational and training documentaries used in the medical and mental health fields. It chose Dade County because of its transportation and communications infrastructure, its bilingual work force and its growing film industry.

New York's Lehman Brothers plans to relocate its Americas Regional Headquarters of the firm's Private Client Services Group (PCSG) to Miami from New York City. PCSG provides financial advice to private clients and institutions worldwide.

Port Everglades completed a $4 million expansion project at the Northport Cruise Terminal #2. New features include an expanded passenger lounge, two escalators and two jetway-type passenger boarding bridges.
