Despite concerns from state lawmakers and education officials, Florida International University continued its push for a medical school at a meeting of the Board of Governors last fall. Critics point out that many Florida-trained physicians leave the state to practice. Others question whether demand for physicians will continue to grow. The University of Central Florida also is seeking a med school.<
