? Retired Vice Adm. Gerald L. Hoewing, 57, is the new president and CEO of the Naval Aviation Museum Foundation, the fund-raising arm of Pensacola's National Museum of Naval Aviation. He succeeds Vice Adm. Jack Fetterman, who died in March.

? Charles Wood, 33, fi lls the new position of senior vice president for economic development at the Pensacola Bay Area Chamber of Commerce. He was interim director of economic development in College Station, Texas.

? Willie C. Taylor, 37, has been hired for a new post as Escambia County's second assistant administrator. He was an economic development representative for the U.S. Department of Commerce in Atlanta.

? Lydia McKinley-Floyd is the new dean of the School of Business and Industry at Florida A&M University. She was associate dean at Savannah State University's College of Business. Longtime dean Sybil Mobley retired in 2003.
