It's OK to use public funds to attract businesses or help existing businesses grow, according to 65% of those polled in the Greater Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce's fifth annual survey.

Mason-Dixon Polling & Research questioned 625 adults in Gadsden, Jefferson, Leon and Wakulla counties.

Here are percentages of those in favor of spending public money for other priorities:

87% - improve airport services

66% - build a major research institute

50% - build relationships with local universities
