Ann McGee, 2006 top community college CEO 2006

? Ann McGee, Seminole Community College's president since 1996, has been named 2006's top community college CEO nationwide from among 1,200 of her peers by the Association of Community College Trustees.

? Bill Davis becomes president and CEO this month of Universal Orlando Resort, replacing Bob Gault, who is retiring. Davis has worked in the industry for more than 33 years, including executive positions with other Universal properties as well as Busch Entertainment Corp.

? Larry McKinney has been named president of the Daytona Beach/Halifax Area Chamber of Commerce. Formerly from Athens, Ga., he replaces George Mirabal, who retires at the end of this year.

? Margaret "Margi" Starkey has been promoted to deputy executive director and CFO of the Canaveral Port Authority. She has worked with the agency since 1993, most recently as director of accounting.

? Marilyn Logsdon Mennello, a Winter Park philanthropist who co-founded the Mennello Museum of Art in Orlando with her husband, Michael, died Oct. 17 after a long battle with leukemia.
