BBG, a leading national commercial real estate valuation, advisory and assessment firm, today announced that it has appointed two real estate industry veterans to Managing Director of the firm's new offices in Miami and Tampa, Fla., which opened this month. The Florida offices bring BBG's total number of offices to 24 nationwide. BBG appointed Eric Hoening, MAI, to serve as Managing Director of the Tampa office, and Lee R. Smalley, MAI, as Managing Director of the Miami office. Both Hoening and Smalley will focus on growth and development of their respective offices including new client acquisition, client and staff management, and maintaining and cultivating the company's culture.

Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville has selected Bradley S. Talbert, FACHE, to be the hospital’s new President and CEO. Talbert will assume his duties at Memorial Hospital on August 1. He comes to Memorial Hospital from Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill, SC, where he was also CEO. Talbert brings more than 17 years of hospital executive leadership and management experience to Memorial.

United Way of Miami-Dade has named Maria C. Alonso as its new president and CEO. Alonso, a banking professional and civic leader, will start in August. “Maria has proven herself a tireless champion for all of United Way’s diverse stakeholders: the programs we fund, the services we operate, the donors we depend upon, and – most importantly – the children and seniors and families whose lives are made better through the organization’s work,” said Carlos A. Migoya, current board chair.
