» Harris Corp. hired William M. Brown, 48, a senior executive with United Technologies, as president and CEO, succeeding Howard Lance.

» Peter Weiss was named president of the Florida Hospital Healthcare System in Orlando, after a 12-year career with Health First in Brevard.

» Clarence H. "Buck" Brown III announced he will retire as president and CEO of MD Anderson Cancer Center Orlando at the end of 2012, after more than 36 years serving the central Florida medical community, the past 20 at MD Anderson-Orlando.

» Urban Trust Bank named veteran banker Guy Michel executive vice president and chief lending officer.
