» Architectural design and consulting firm Gresham, Smith and Partners appointed Luis J. Cano, a specialist in healthcare projects, senior vice president in charge of its Fort Lauderdale office.

» Cross Match Technologies of Palm Beach Gardens hired Mike Estrada, a former vice president for corporate human resources at Office Depot, to head human resources as a vice president.

» FAU microbiologist Nwadiuto Esiobu was named a Jefferson Science Fellow and will spend the academic year in Washington, D.C., one of 13 U.S. scientists selected to advance their fields and guide government policy. She will serve as a lead science adviser in the Secretary of State's Global Food Security Initiative, focusing in part on sustainable agricultural output in Africa.
