» Cyberstates 2007, an annual study by high-tech trade association AeA, reported that Florida has the second-fastest-growing tech industry employment. The state added 10,900 tech jobs for a total of 276,400 in 2005, the most current year available. Florida’s high-tech workers, though, earned an average wage of $61,100, ranking 29th in the nation.

» A new business incubator, the TRDA Business Innovation Center, is opening this summer in Melbourne. It will offer hands-on assistance, office space, business services and investment capital to startups with high-growth potential.
