What will the hotel of tomorrow look like?

Picture a spalike bathroom with a one-step body drier that eliminates the need for bath towels and pads on the bathroom floor that read your vital signs and signal a dispenser to produce a vitamin gel with the nutrients your body needs. Ron Swidler from Chicago-based design firm Gettys, which is part of a Hotel of Tomorrow think-tank project, gave an Orlando crowd a view of the future during an event in May at the sales office for The Blue Rose, an ultramodern 39-story condo/hotel planned near Universal Studios.

Other predictions: Screens on the walls, windows, ceilings and doors that project the guest’s favorite scenes, such as starry skies or marine life, as well as artwork and advertisements.
