» Dionne E. Wong has been promoted to senior vice president/chief human resources officer for Broward Health, formerly the North Broward Hospital District.

» Fort Lauderdale online diet company eDiets said CFO Robert Hamilton has resigned. Carla Cox, senior vice president of financial reporting, is interim CFO.

» Former Palm Beach County Commissioner Warren Newell was sentenced to five years in prison after pleading guilty to using his position to profit from at least three deals and using money laundering, fake financial disclosure and income tax forms to hide the profits.
