» Developer Jerry Petersen recently announced plans for three real estate developments in Cape Coral: La Brise, a mixed-use project with shops, condos and docks, Cape Tuscany, with 60 carriage homes, and Bella Tuscany, a gated community with 306 residences.
» Deerfield Station, a transit-oriented development with office, retail and workforce housing components, has received final approval from Deerfield Beach. Construction of the $180-million pedestrian friendly development at the Deerfield Beach Tri-Rail station is scheduled to begin early next year, according to developer York Residential.

» Construction has begun on St. Regis Resort & Residences in Bal Harbour, a three-tower complex to be completed in 2011. It will have 268 luxury residences, 37 condo/hotel suites, 183 hotel rooms and 24 St. Regis Residence Club fractional-ownership residences.
